This form is required to enroll for credit in any of the research courses listed below. The form documents the agreement between you and the course instructor regarding the topic of the project, scope of work, learning outcomes, credits and criteria for grading. Before completing this form, email or meeting with your mentor(s) to discuss your project, time commitment (number of credits), and grade option. You can preview the form using the links found here.
Enrollment in independent study courses must be completed prior to the end of the 5th week of instruction. You must petition to enroll late. Petitioning does not guarantee enrollment. It may take some time to complete the process of gaining approval, so start this process well ahead of time- we recommend at least 2 weeks prior to the due date. Approval of this form does not automatically enroll you in the course. Once approved, you will receive a PIN by email. You will still need to go to Student Center to enroll using the PIN.
